The search for the perfect bike for anyone can be a challenging task. I recently feel I might have completed it for myself when it comes to bikepacking and adventure cycling! After riding many bikes nothing has ever felt so perfect. Introducing the Yoeleo G21.
When it comes to bikepacking and adventure bikes, I have used more than most. The ones that I have had a huge amount of success on are a Specialized AWOL, Lynskey GR260, and a Ritchey Outback. Until a few days ago, I thought these couldn’t be beaten.

Regarding bikepacking and gravel bikes, I know something special when I see it, and the Yoeleo G21 blew my mind. I have been lucky enough in the past couple of years to partner with Yoeleo. We teamed up after I used an R12 and just thought it was amazing.
In this article, I will discuss the bike and why it’s so suited to my adventure riding. Here’s what I will be running through:
- Who Are Yoeleo?
- What Is The Yoeleo G21
- My Yoeleo G21 Specifications
- Why Is The Yoeleo The Ideal Adventure Bike For Me

Who Are Yoeleo?
Yoeleo has been in business for over 16 years, and the large team has a huge amount of experience in building bikes. This is because they have been making them for other brands for years before that and know what makes a great bike.
Although it might not be a brand everyone has heard of right now, they will be huge in the future. Not only do they make incredible bikes and wheels, but they come with ultra warranties that last for 6 years to a lifetime.
The reason I can’t get enough of Yoeleo is because they offer bikes at nearly half the price of the bigger brands and, in my eyes, are either equal or outperform their competition. I don’t think anyone can beat them for value for money.

What Is The Yoeleo G21?
The G21 is Yoeleo’s premium gravel bike. Ideal for racing and adventure and perfect for some who wants to go fast on lots of different types of terrain. It’s light, strong, has all the mounting options you need, and even comes loaded with accessories.
It’s made of premium carbon fiber, as this is what they specialize in, but instead of just giving you a carbon frame and forks, the frameset includes carbon bars and a carbon seat post. A built bike with some decent components could be 8kg to 9kg, which is very impressive.
It comes in two different colors, and arctic white like I have and a desert dust color. You also get lots of different sizes to choose from, and you even pick the handlebar with and stem length because they are all integrated.

My Yoeleo G21 Specifications
When I got my Yoeleo G21, I built it up from scratch exactly to my specifications with parts I had on other bikes. I wanted to go through the build process myself as it’s something I love doing.
You can buy it as a complete bike, which I highly recommend Yoeleo spec. As a complete bike, they offer it with a GRX groupset, carbon wheels, and much more. Here’s my Yoeleo G21 Specification:
Frame: Arctic White Large
Fork: Adventure Mount Fork
Wheels: Yoeleo 50mm Carbon Gravel
Tires: WTB Nano Tubeless 40c
Crank: Shimano GRX600 1X 40T 170mm
Cassette: Shimano Deore 11/40
Chain: Shimano Ultegra
Rear Derailleur: Shimano GRX
Brakes: Shimano GRX Hydraulic
Handlebars / Stem: Yoeleo Carbon 80mm
Seatpost: Yoeleo Carbon
Saddle: Pro Stealth Special Edition Silver
Bottle Cages: Lezyne Side Pull
Bar Tape: Deda
Pedals: SPD
The assembly was very straightforward, and the Yoeleo booklet makes the internal running of the cable process really simple. As you can see, the cable runs through the whole bars, stem, forks, and frame, don’t let this scare you.
I could have built it in a day, taking it easy and having fun, or 5 hours if I was trying to rush it and finish it as quickly as possible. If you have the tools and the time, you will learn so much about bike building, and riding it will be more satisfying.

Why Is The Yoeleo G21 The Ideal Adventure Bike For Me
The Yoeleo G21 is perfect for my bikepacking and adventure riding. Many factors took me to this bike, but the first to mention is I wanted something comfortable, fast, great looking, and it had to go on multiple terrains. Here’s why it ticks all the boxes for me.
Yoeleo G21 Unlimited Carbon
For many years, I have been riding steel, aluminum, and titanium bikes, and although they have been fantastic, after riding the Yoeleo R12, I really wanted to stay on carbon fiber. Not only is it incredibly light, but modern carbon fiber with top resins is unbelievably strong.
The frame, forks, wheels, seatpost, handlebars, and stem are all made of carbon fiber. I think this bike, when all put together, will be 8.5kg to 9kg, and you can’t do that easily with steel, titanium, or aluminum.

Comfortable Geometry
I know the bike is fast, but one thing I have learn’t over all my miles cycling is comfort will always be the most important factor. The beauty of the G21 is that compared to many other lightweight sports gravel bikes, ist has a more upright riding position.
This not only is going to keep me in control on rough terrain, but it’s also going to be lovely on my back, hands, and shoulders, which bikes that are too aggressive always get to after around six hours.

Huge Tire Clearance
The next advantage this bike has for me is giant tire clearance. If you are running a 700c wheel, you can fit a 50c tire. If you are running 650b, you can fit a 2.1” mountain bike tire. That’s a lot of tire options for a gravel bike, much more than many others available.
This is really important for me. I am not as skilled an off-road riding as I would like to be, so being able to chuck some bigger tires on and have that advantage over others is great. Huge tires might slow me down a little at times, but the confidence they give me goes a long way.

Many Mounts
If you look closely at the Yoeleo G21, you will see it has a huge amount of mounts. Not only did I get the adventure fork with extra mounts, but you have them on the top tube, under the downtube on the crash guard, and everything you needed for racks and mudguards.
It’s good to know that mounts are great for bags and also accessories such as lighting and extra bottles. Having lots of mounts opens you up to lots of different setups and customized kit.
It Looks Stunning
I love a bike that looks the part. For years, I rode a titanium Lynskey GR270, which was fully mirror finished. There’s something awesome about looking at your bike and thinking that it looks so so so good!
The G21 is the coolest-looking bike I have ever owned, closely followed by the Yoeleo R12. The paint job is just amazing, the internal routing makes it look incredibly clean, and the dropped chainstay and oversized tubing are just beautiful too.

The Adaptability
Finally, I want to speak about the adaptability of this bike. This isn’t just a gravel bike to me. It’s the kind of bike that will tick a lot of boxes as far as riding disciplines go. The G21 can be easily changed into other bikes and is an incredible do it all bike.
It’s possible to switch the tires out for small 28c tires, and I have a road racing endurance bike. I could drop the wheel size to a 650b and put 2.1” tires on, and I’m not far off a drop bar mountain bike. I could even put a rear rack on the back, and it’s my touring bike.
The future of cycling, in my eyes, is having do it all bikes. I would much rather invest more money into a gravel bike like the G21, which I can adapt to different riding styles, than have four bikes that can’t all be ridden at once.
A Final Note
Thanks for taking the time to read my article on the Yoeleo G21. It’s a very cool bike, and I can’t wait to put in some mega miles testing it to its absolute maximum. A full review will be coming up soon, and please don’t hesitate to ask me any questions about it here or on my YouTube channel, Twitter, or Instagram!
