I get asked a lot of amazing questions through my social media, YouTube channel, and even email through this website. With that in mind, I decided to start the bikepacking mentorship to make it easy for bikepackers and get them in the best shape physically and mentally for any trip.

What Does The Bikepacking Mentorship Include?
Bikepacking isn’t just about having the legs to cycle through an adventure. This is why the mentorship is about much more than that. Here’s what is covered:
Personal Training Plan
The first thing we look at is a personal training plan. It is designed personally for you and changes each month. We do three different types of training when it comes to preparation. This is what we look at.
- Cardiovascular training.
- Strength and core training.
- Injury prevention sessions.
Putting all this together will get you in the right shape to ride big miles up alpine climbs with no worries, and you are not going to make it.
Nutrition And Diet Advice
Next, we have nutrition and diet advice. They say bikepacking and ultra cycling are just who can eat the most. Well, we will teach you how to eat right from the right foods, get the hydration you need, and optimize recovery.
Kit Organization
Finally, we have kit organization. This is where we run through the right kit for you personally. From what you will need to take and how your bike should be set up, and also speak about all the fine-tuning you can do when it comes to packing.
You will get a personal kit list sent to you, which we will modify and change throughout the training to ensure you have everything you need to tackle any weather or problems you might have on a trip. We also discuss repairs and how to do them.
Trip/Race Planning Sessions
Trip and race planning is where, if you have an adventure in mind, we go through all you need to know, from how to properly plan the route, understand what struggles you will face when on your travels, and make realistic plans that can optimize your experience.
We will also discuss how to deal with adventure on the mental side of things. Bikepacking can sometimes feel overwhelming, and we appreciate it takes time to get your head around it. We are here to ensure you have the confidence you need.
Knowledge Library
You will also get access to the knowledge library, where we have videos with long discussions on certain topics. This will be updated weekly and will answer question after question we might get asked.

How Is The Time Used With A Bikepacking Mentor?
Regarding your time with a mentor, it’s not just emails being thrown back and forth. It’s much more than that, and we look forward to checking in multiple times per month. Typically, this is the time we expect to spend with you. This is a month period.
Week 1 – (Personal Session) 1-hour one-on-one catch-up and explain the new month’s training plan that you will be sent prior.
Week 2 or 4 – (Group session) 1-2 hours – We will discuss any question as a group and get combined input.
Week 3 – (Personal Session) 1-2 hours one-on-one talking about planned adventures, kit, and nutrition.

How Much Does The Bikepacking Mentorship Cost?
Regarding the Bikepacking Mentorship, we charge one single price of $150 a month.
